Underneath the window of the Laboratory of the Uula factory, a square square is already formed in the twilight of the night in a wortable snow layer at night. Factory manager Heikki Juhe and Laboranti Mari Aaltonen will test new ingredients for interior paint planned next fall and fine-tuning recipes. “There is a whole new kind of interior paint that is even more environmentally friendly,” says Heikki Juhe. "There is no such goal on the market yet."

Uula continues as a pioneer with its natural oil -based goals, but it is by no means contradictory to the reputation of the traditional paint manufacturer. Developing everything new is based on a strong generation of several generations. In this way, traditionalism and pioneering go hand in hand and support each other. Also, pioneering does not always mean that the bike needs to be reinvented, just knowing it is time to re -enable the old bike.

Bio-based oil paint gets its raw material from fields and forests

At the turn of the year, Uula will bring a new bio -based linen oil paint with a renewable coniferous tree flap to the exterior paint market. Its main raw material, cooked linseed oil is obtained from the fields and in oil paint important from the solvent forests, and not from fossil sources. The solvent helps the paint absorb deep into the surface of the wood, improving its infection and protection.

Conifer wood flap is not a new invention, but traditionally has been considered the best oil paint solvent. As the big manufacturers switched to more affordable petroleum -borne turpentine, the supply of coniferous wood was more difficult and its price increased. Even small manufacturers had to switch to a cheaper option. Coniferous trees are still a somewhat marginal raw material, but as a renewable natural product, Uula finds it important to bring it back to the oil paints of the new era. "Right now is the time to bring the coniferous tree back to oil paints. The time for fossil derivatives is over," Heikki Juhe ponders.

Linen uula oil paint is easy and comfortable to use

The main raw material of the exterior paints, or paint binder, is in most paints and contains compounds that are calculated as plastic. This is regrettable for the breathability and environment of the home, but the benefit is that the paint can be made water -borne. Linseed oil paint requires a solvent to its thinner, but with a plant -based solvent, fossil -based petroleum wires are completely eliminated.

At one time there was a rather strong scent in the coniferous tree, but with the development it has made its scent much milder. Linen Uula oil paint is very user -friendly: because it is tinted mechanically, there is a wide range of shades to choose from. Abundant pigmentation reduces painting times and even allows for a single painting on topcoating, making the oil paint an easy to paint for a do-it-yourself painter. The plastic -free and breathable linen oil paint gives the user everything: a beautiful, durable, healthy and environmental home and thus peace of mind.
