Uula Pellavainen's oil paint painting instructions

Uula Pellavainen's oil paint painting instructions for untreated and previously painted exterior wood surfaces with different oil, alkyd or plastic binders. Uula Pellavainen oil paint is also suitable for industrially primed wood surfaces and for painting previously painted plaster and screed surfaces. The surface painted with linen oil paint is dignified by chalking.

Uula Pellavainen's oil paint painting instructions

Mix the paint thoroughly before painting and, if necessary, during painting. Mix a sufficient paint in the same container for the uniform surface to avoid any shade differences. Check the shade before starting the painting by performing a test painting for a piece of board, etc. After pre -processing and priming, paint with Uula Pellavainen with oil. One -time painting requires painting with plenty of paint. The surface to be painted becomes evenly beautiful when you paint carefully without retrospective paintings.

Painting conditions

The surface to be painted must be dry (less than 15 %of wood moisture, less than 80 %of the relative humidity) and at least +10 ° C. Depending on the conditions, the surface is 1-3 days after the circumstances. Counted at the earliest after 3 days. (+20 ° C and relative humidity <80 %). Drying the paint requires light and heat. Do not paint in the rain, direct sunlight or sun -heated surface. We recommend painting with a brush. When using a high pressure spray, apply the paint with a brush to spread the paint evenly. When painting with syringe, the paint should be thinned with about 10 % Uula Havu Woodworm and/or cooked linseed oil (vernissa) .

Pre -treatment & priming & topcoating

Pre -treatment

Wash the dirty surface with Uula paint cleaning and moldy surface with Uula mold cleaning . Remove the loose and poorly attached paint with a scraper, sanding, etc. Remove the old paint as well as possible. Old, thick coatings can be removed with effective Uula paint removal. Grind a grayed/fluffy wood surface. In the case of a new planed surface, grind the surface rough to ensure the adhesion or allow the surface to expire before painting. Before the painting processing, we recommend that you treat the surface with Uula Home Protection according to the instructions.

Priming

Previously painted wooden surfaces: Place painting Wood -clean surfaces 20 - 25% thinned Uula linen oil paint. For thinning, we recommend Uula Havu wooden furry and/or boiled linseed oil (vernissa). The best result is 1: 1 in the mixing ratio.
Unpainted sawdays: Primer 20 - 25% thinned Uula linen with oil paint
metal surfaces: Treat metal parts with anti -rust primer.
New, industrially primed wooden surfaces: No need to paint wooden surfaces.

Top painting: Paint with Uula Lellava with oil. One -time painting requires painting with a large paint on the primed surface. If the paint is to be thinned, a maximum of 10%of the thinning may be a thinning share. When painting twice (eg first time in loose boards), thinning 20-25 % the first time. We recommend painting twice if the item is prone to hard climate strains. For thinning, we recommend Uula Havu wooden furry and/or boiled linseed oil (vernissa). The best result is 1: 1 in the mixing ratio.

New planed, log and lamella log
surfaces The fresh planed surfaces are smooth, dense and resin and have a new absorption capacity. Paint the planed surfaces in the first year with a 30% thinned linen oil without separate primer. Make ready -made painting two years after first painting. Note that the first painting leaves the surface to be heard and the final look is only born after the finished painting.
Alternatively, the surfaces can be rolled by grinding, or they can be left to grasped with mold protection for 1-2 years before painting.

Additional information

Survivability: Sawmill approx. 5 m 2 /l. Fine hat or old paint finish about 7 m 2 /l.

Thinnut : For thinning, we recommend Uula Havu Puutuität and/or boiled linseed oil (vernissa). The best result is 1: 1 in the mixing ratio.

Cleaning of tools: The tools are cleaned with Uula General Spirit or Lacquer Bensine and finally with soap and water.

Storage & Prevention of Environmental Harp: We recommend storage in a dry and cool place. Keep out of reach of children. Empty, dry packaging can be delivered for recycling. Liquid waste must be delivered to the hazardous waste collection point. Recycling info.

Note: Dispose of oily traders, rags, etc. by burning or watering with water before throwing in the trash due to the risk of linseed oil self -emerging.

Please ensure the cleanliness of the painted exterior surfaces. It is a good idea to clean and protect the wood surface for the well -being and durability of the paint.
