Terrace maintenance starts with washing
During the year, dirt accumulates dirt, such as birds, trees, road and pollen and greasy traces during the year, as the pork slides slips from the barbecue or three-year-old ice cream turns upside down. In humid conditions, algae and mold growth can also be formed on the surface of the terrace.
Occasionally, water may be sufficient for cleaning, or a dilute pine sop solution, but especially if the plans have oil to oil after washing or if there are algae or mold growth on the surface, it is advisable to use biodegradable Uula mold washing. It is suitable for all kinds of naturally dirty and cleaning outdoor surfaces and destroys microbial growth.
Water, brush and detergent to wash the terrace
The brush and bucket for dilution of the wash solution is enough for the terrace to wash. Alternatively, the terrace can be washed with a low pressure washer. Uula mold washing is diluted in water on slightly dirty surfaces in a ratio of 1: 2 and for very dirty surfaces 1: 1.
Often, however, even a more dilute mix is sufficient, especially if the purpose is not to oil or paint the surface. Initially, you can dispense mold washing in a ratio of 1:10 and increase detergent if the surface is not cleaned sufficiently. The more dilute mixture is more gentle on wood and the environment.
The washing solution is applied to the surface with a sponge, a laundry cloth, a brush or a low pressure washer and is allowed to work for about 5-10 minutes. Brushing according to the causes of wood will help to remove the stubborn dirt. After the action time, the detergent is rinsed off, preferably with warm water, and the surface is allowed to dry properly.
Grayed wood is sanded before surface treatment
If there are sticks raised by the washing on the surface of the terrace, it is advisable to sand the surface so that no one hurts themselves. If the surface is intended to be oiled and is "lint" or grayed, the light clean clean wood surface will be sanded before treatment.
The fluffy and gray wooden surface is a bad platform for surface treatment because it is not properly attached to the structure of the wood, but is easily removed, carrying the treatment substance with it. After grinding, the surface is thoroughly cleaned of sanding dust and the terrace oiling can be started.
Linseed oil gives organic protection against moisture

The surface of the terrace must be properly dry when it comes to oiling, as the oil is not properly absorbed by the oil, but remains on the surface. However, in direct sunlight, the terrace should not be oiled, but it is advisable to schedule the treatment to a dry but semi -cloud day. The surface that dehydrates too fast may remain uneven and spilled and the oil does not have time to absorb deep enough. The relative humidity of the air should be less than 80% and the temperature at least +10 degrees.
Accessories and last preparations
The stalled, wide and high quality mixed brush is the best tool for oiling the terrace, with the help of a terrace blade to treat a slightly wider strip at a time. In addition, a paintbrush is required when using the platform.
Before treatment, it is advisable to test the tinted oil on a separate corresponding wooden surface, such as an left -handed board to ensure the shade. In the hearing treatment, the type of wood, the roughness of the surface and the previous treatments affect the final color.
Mix the oil thoroughly before treatment and occasionally during treatment. If there is an oil tinted on a wide uniform surface in several jars, it is advisable to mix them in the same container to avoid any shade differences.
This is how you oil the terrace and get the best result
