Window Rehabilitation - New Life of Window Papers

Rehabilitation of windows gives the old window pop new life. Even old window bumps can be in good shape, even if time has done their way to the old paint surface. In this story, I will follow a the present project blog about the renovation of old windows.

Current Project Blog - Window Rehabilitation

The windows of the house are typical two -glass six -pane, with two three -pane poles. In other words, there are four separate poka in one opening. First we renovated the inner bumps, or double. They were intact, only a few screens had broken. The rehabilitation was thoroughly done: all the glasses were removed and the old paints were scraped off. The wood -clean pokes were primed with a thinned Uula linseed oil and the glasses were put in place with linseed oil kite. Un thinning paint was brushed with tight three thin layers.

Although there are many work stages and work is time consuming, it is still rewarding: no expensive tools are needed and the materials cost a few euros per poke. There are good instructions and videos on the web to help you get any tough drill. The renovated windows last for decades with low maintenance. They were once made of dense red lung, unlike current maintenance-free, or non-stop-repair windows.

Now the inner bumps are ready for the downstairs of the house and under construction outside. They have to be partially replaced, but it is not a strange thing when a suitable timber was found in the riot. The windows do not have to be afraid to end, there are enough upstairs, in the basement and even in the barn until you get bored.
