The colors are primarily red or yellow and the most popular shades are falun -red, Italian red and yellow -drooling. In addition to these traditional colors, our selection has five other cooking paints, of which black has become a big favorite.
Our company founder Arto Uunila started cooking red soil in the outbuilding of his home in Nurmo. At that time, traditional paints could no longer be bought in stores. It was almost impossible to find ordinary red paint, let alone linseed oil paint. A nice coincidence led Arto and Panu Kaila to the same paths. And so, encouraged by the National Board of Antiquities, and through the advice and experience of old painter's master, the right ingredients were found and the production of traditional paints could be started. The story of the first meeting can be found Y Panu Kaila - Spring brought a painter. You can also read the story in the picture, clicking on the picture.
