Recipe for making Nordic Paint – Points to note

  • Brush of dust. Remove peeling and flaking old paint from surfaces previously painted with Nordic Paint with wire brush and scraper. If you wish to change the colour, old paint must be completely removed by using e.g. a pressure washer. Allow to dry before painting.
  • We still recommend to use the same colour of Nordic Paint as previously.
  • Wash the dirty surface with Uula Washing Agent and a mouldy surface with Uula Mould Cleaning Agent.
  • Prime the surface with Uula Anti-Mould Agent before painting and let the surface dry thoroughly.
  • Reserve enough paint for a large surface to avoid potential colour variations in different batches. Stir well before painting.
  • Do not paint in rain, in direct sunlight or on sun-heated surfaces.
  • When the weather is very hot and dry, the surface might be even too dry; the surface can be moisturized with water on the previous evening.
  • Do not use smooth headed nails, such as electro-galvanized nails to attach the boards because the paint comes off them.
  • If the surface becomes dirty or mould, cleaning and maintenance of the surface should be considered.
  • More detailed instructions for maintenance and cleaning can be found in our website www.uula.fi
  • In case of uncertainty, submit to the manufacturer of the paint or to a competent distributor before starting the painting process.
