Uula linseed oil paint painting instructions

Uula Linseed Oil Painting Instructions for untreated and previously painted wood surfaces with different oil, alkyd or plastic binders. Uula linseed oil paint is also suitable for industrially primed wood surfaces. Uula linseed oil paint is semi -gloss in gloss, but over the years becomes dimmer.

Uula linseed oil paint painting instructions

Mix the paint thoroughly before painting and, if necessary, during painting. Mix a sufficient paint in the same container for the uniform surface to avoid any shade differences. Check the shade before starting the painting by making a test painting on a piece of board, etc. Paint thinly with a tight brush. Too abundance of the coat of paint wrinkles as it dries. Heating the paint in a water bath helps to apply the paint thinly. To get a smooth paint surface, paint the surfaces in the boarding lane to a suitable break. Also treat the cross -sectional surfaces of the timber carefully.

Painting conditions

The surface to be painted must be dry (less than 15 %of wood moisture, less than 80 %of the relative humidity) and at least +10 ° C. The surface painted with linseed oil paint is touched dry after 2-3 days. Counted at the earliest after 4 days. (+20 ° C and relative humidity <80 %). Drying the paint requires light and heat (at least +10 ° C). Do not paint in the rain, direct sunlight or sun -heated surface. We recommend painting with a brush. The brush or paintbrush should be sufficiently stiff. When using a high pressure spray, apply the paint with a brush to spread the paint evenly.

Pre -treatment & priming & topcoating

Pre -treatment: Wash the dirty surface with Uula paint cleaning and moldy surface with Uula mold cleaning. Remove the loose and poorly attached paint with a scraper, sanding, etc. Remove the old paint as well as possible. Old, thick coatings can be removed with effective Uula paint removal . Grind a grayed/fluffy wood surface. In the case of a new planed surface, grind the surface rough to ensure adhesion or allow the surface to expire 1-2 years before priming. Before the painting processing, we recommend treatment with Uula Home Protection , according to the instructions.

Pre -treatment of old wooden surfaces: old window frames, building water stripes, railing trees, etc. Treat the cleaned wood clean base with a mixture of wood oil and linseed oil. If the wood is very porous, you can treat the surface with wood oil first in addition to the above treatment. Allow to dry a little. 2 days before intermediate and ready-made painting.

Priming

Previously painted wooden surfaces: Place paint on wood -clean surfaces with 20% thinned Uula linseed oil paint.
Unpainted sawdance surfaces: primer with Uula underground paint .
New, industrially primed wood surface: There is no need to primer the wood surface.
Metal surfaces: Treat metal parts with anti -rust primer.

Intermediate painting: Paint the primed exterior surfaces with about 10-15% thinned linseed oil paint. As a thinner, we recommend Uula Oil Paint thinning . Allow to dry for at least 3 days.

Top painting: Paint thinly with a tight brush. Thin the paint if necessary, up to 10%.

New planed, log and lamella log
surfaces The fresh planed surfaces are smooth, dense and resin and have a new absorption capacity. Paint the planed surfaces in the first year with a 30% thinned linseed oil paint without separate primer. Make an intermediate and ready-made painting two years after the first painting. Note that the first painting leaves the surface to be heard and the final look is only born after the finished painting.
Alternatively, the surfaces can be rolled by grinding, or they can be left to grasped with mold protection for 1-2 years before painting.
