Instructions of use for Uula Paint Remover

Applying the Paint Remover:  The product must always be stirred well before use.  Do a test painting to a small area of the surface to see the effect on the old paint. The product might harm certain plastic qualities. Apply a thick layer of the Paint Remover. The duration of action is from 1 to 12 hours. The duration of action depends on the type of paint and on the amount of paint layers on the surface. The Uula Paint Remover can be left to effect overnight. During this time, it will be completely absorbed. Uula Paint Remover can remove up to 9 layers of paint at once, unless bubbles are formed in between. This slows down the absorption. The treatment can be repeated if necessary.

After the duration of action on exterior surfaces:  The softened paint layer can be removed with a wire brush or scraper. A high-pressure washer can be used for exterior surfaces to remove the softened paint (or hot-water pressure washer 60-90°C). When using a high-pressure washer, it is important to start from the bottom and continue to the top. Sand the washed and dried surface with sandpaper before re-painting, which can be done with Uula Linseed Oil Paint, Uula Matt Linseed Oil Paint or with Uula Roslags Mahogany.

After the duration of action on interior surfaces:  The softened paint layer can be removed with a wire brush or scraper. Wash the surface with Uula Paint Wash according to instructions. Sand the washed and dried surface with sandpaper. Treat the surface for example with Uula Glazing Paint, Uula Furniture Paint, Uula Panel Paint, Uula Door and Window Paint or with Uula Floor Paint, according to the instructions of the product.

We recommend using a paint brush or a levelling paint brush. The product can also be applied with a high pressure paint spray (Nozzle size 0,21” – 0,31” and 40-50° spraying angle). Temperature being between  -8°C to +28°C. Avoid doing the treatment in direct sunlight or on a windy day. If you must work in the previously mentioned conditions, cover the surface with a plastic wrap to prevent the evaporation of the Uula Paint Remover.

Coverage: 1-3m²/L depending on the amount of paint layers, paint type and the quality of the surface.

Cleaning of the equipment:  Clean with warm water.

Storage and prevention of environmental damage: Keep in a cool and dry place. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not allow to freeze. Dry and empty containers can be taken to a refuse dump. Liquid waste must be taken to a municipal hazardous waste collection point. The waste of the Paint Remover must be taken to a municipal hazardous waste collection point.
